Tri-County had 40 points in the first quarter and coasted to a 72-8 rout of an undermanned Seymour club Friday night.
The Warriors brought just 10 players to the game and Trojan coach Scott Edmundson was impressed how Seymour played.
"They didn't have many kids, but you definitely had to respect their effort on the field," he said. "Our young kids received valuable experience on the field. Our tackling was much better than last week and only gave up 50 yards rushing and 25 yards passing."
Trenton Steinke caught a pair of touchdown passes from Nick Watts in the first quarter while Watts added another TD pass to Josh Edmundson.
Jake Bombei, who had three touchdowns in the game, rushed for 98 yards on just 10 carries as Zach Kitzman had 54 yards on the ground and a touchdown. Watts finished 5 for 7 passing for 108 yards and three scores.
Steinke had 60 yards on his two catches while Josh Edmundson ahd 53 yards on three receptions.
On the defensive side of the ball, Benjamin Edmundson recorded 10 tackles as Bombei and Kitzman both had six tackles. Bombei and Austin Blythe intercepted passes while Ethan Bair and Kyle Leer both had fumble recoveries.
