With temperatures expected to be in the mid 90s on Friday night, the heat could play a major factor in determining the outcome of the game.
“Our team has not been affected by the heat” Sterner said. “Our kids are hydrating well and focused on being our best.
“We have adjusted our practice times to get out of the sun and heat, and moved our practices to later which also gets us ready to play at the same time as actual game time.”
After practicing for the past couple of weeks, teams are ready to hit other players beside their teammates.
“Our kids have passion and enthusiasm to work for their team and be their best,” Sterner said. “We have worked extremely hard this summer and are motivated by the lack of success we experienced last year. They are ready to show their best.”
