Cameron Foster has been recognized for a tremendous junior campaign as the NAIA announced its All-America teams last weekend.
Foster, who was heralded as Midwest Collegiate Conference Player of the Year last month, was named to the NAIA’s first team. It is his first career honor and William Penn’s third all-time from the NAIA.
The junior owns a 211.1 average in 71 games, including a high game of 269. Foster has eight top-25 finishes, including winning the Hoosier Classic in February. Collegebowling.com’s rankings as of Feb. 17 had Foster rated ninth in the nation in scoring average.
The NAIA’s coaches also handed out academic recognition to Michael Applegate, Piet Schaeffer and Breanne Underwood. To be selected to the academic team, a bowler must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 based on a 4.0 scale.
