MEXICO, Mo. —
Ray Edward Heaton, 67 of Mexico, Mo., died unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at his home.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Terry Kukuk officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the church on Monday. Entombment will be in the First Presbyterian Columbarium.
Ray was born on January 9, 1945 in Oskaloosa, Iowa the son of Clifford and Kathryn (Boles) Heaton.
On Feb. 3, 1968, in Mexico, Ray married Janet James and she survives.
In addition to his wife Janet, Ray is survived by a son, Todd Heaton and wife Malia, of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Julie Lassere and husband Tracey, of Daphne, Ala.; five grandchildren, twins, Sam and Sophie Heaton, Erin, Ethan, and Ellen Lassere; his mother, Kathryn Heaton, of Oskaloosa; mother-in-law, Virginia James, of Mexico; sister, Lorraine Blom and husband Rex, of Oskaloosa.
Ray was preceded in death by his father, Clifford.
