KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
Diane Betty McMahan, 74, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, October 28, after a long battle with cancer.
Diane was born on Nov. 27, 1938, in London, England. She came to the United States in 1961 with her husband, Darrell, and her daughter, Debbie. Darrell and Diane lived in Barnes City for 5 years and then moved to Oskaloosa in 1966 and remained there for 40 years. In 2006, after retirement, they moved to Kansas City. Diane served as Mahaska County Assessor for 25 years. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Darrell; Daughter, Debbie Clark (Ken), of Overland Park, Kan.; son, Dan McMahan (Renee), of Jacksonville, Fla.; and daughter, Denise Wituszynski (Mike), of Grandview, Mo.; two grandsons, Brandon McFarland and Dustin Clark, and 5 step-grandchildren.
Memorial Service for Diane is being planned for Thanksgiving weekend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO 64145 (Arr. Cremation Society of KS & MO 913.383.9888).
