Her family includes her two sons, Steve (and Kim) Dixon, of Oskaloosa, and Michael Dixon, of Washington, D.C.; a granddaughter, Randie Jo Dixon, of Oskaloosa; a step daughter, Maria (and Greg) Greenfield, of Norman, Okla.; two step grandchildren, Nicole and Cody; her brother, Kenneth (and Linda) Moore Jr., of Little Rock, Ark.; her sister, Sue (and William) Burdick, of Rochester, N.Y.; brothers and sisters in law, Keith Forehand, of Chipley, Fla., and Mary Jo (and Bob) Aegeter, of Bellingham, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marjorie Forehand; and a step son, David Lindahl.
As education was her passion, Jeanne has donated her body to the University Of Iowa Carver College Of Medicine. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, Jan. 26, at 1:30 p.m. in the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. The family will be at the funeral chapel from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday to greet friends and relatives. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Hospice Serenity House, Alzheimer’s Association or United Methodist Committee on Relief.
