TAINTOR — Huston “June” Comstock, 84, of Taintor, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at Crystal Heights in Oskaloosa.
The son of James and Margaret Visser Comstock, was born on May 29, 1929, in Albia. Huston married Mary Marie Means on May 21, 1950, in Lovilia. Huston retired from working maintenance at Maytag in Newton. Some of Huston’s favorite things were, family and friends, horticulture, playing cards, and traveling.
He is survived by his five children Kenny (Geneva) Comstock, of Eddyville, Dan (Marla) Comstock, of Pella, Sharon (Paul) Jackson, of Rose Hill, Vana (Mike) Baker, of Joplin, Mo., Rick (Peggy) Comstock, of New Sharon; Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one sister, Pat Baker, of Albia. He is preceded in death by his parents, six siblings, and two grandchildren. A memorial service and coffeetime has been arranged for Saturday, March 8, at 2 p.m. at the Tainter Community Church in Tainter.
No graveside service is planned at this time.
