---- — WASHINGTON, Iowa — Ralph Laverne Bradshaw, 64, of Washington and formerly of Scottsdale, Ariz., died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

Ralph grew up in Hedrick and graduated from Hedrick High School with the class of 1967. He furthered his education at Iowa Wesleyan, graduating from there with a degree in political science. He worked for the state of Iowa and the University of Iowa Hospital. In 2002, he moved to Scottsdale, Ariz. In September of 2013, he moved back to Iowa to be near his family.

He is survived by his sister and her husband, Kay and Jim Slusher, of Keokuk; a brother and his wife, Mark and Missy Neff, of Fremont; his longtime companion Peggy Jensen, of Wayland; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Chad Neff.

As was Ralph’s wish his body has been cremated and no services are planned. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
