Eddyville C C Club plan community projects

The Oskaloosa Herald

EDDYVILLE — The Eddyville C C Club had a Garden Party at Bevy Lehman’s home with Becky Shafer as co-hostess.

The 18 members of the Eddyville C C Club love to gather to socialize and plan or help with community projects.

They are finishing the year’s projects by hosting the Music & Movie Night on Saturday evening, Sept., 21, starting at 6 p.m. in the Eddyville Central Park.

On Saturday morning, Oct. 26, they will help with the Cargil 5K Run/Walk which will start at the Eddyville Central Park at 9 a.m.

At the present time club members are contacting the Eddyville Elementary School to donate school supplies that teachers might be in need of for their students.

This summer has been hot and dry but each member took turns watering and maintaing the flowers at the Mini Park on Market Street (across from Bevy’s) in Eddyville. People might have also seen them cleaning up the trash on Merino Ave as they came down the hill to enter Eddyville. Club would like to ask all who enter their community to think before throwing trash from their car.

These gals are always ready to support their community and get involved in events that involve the community along with children and their families.
