OSKALOOSA — Santa paid a visit to the Russell Wildlife Area Saturday morning for the Conservation Board's Winter Tales event.
This is the third year that the staff of the Mahaska County Conservation Board has invited Santa to stop by and visit with children.
MCCB Naturalist Laura De Cook said kids get to do lots of fun things at Winter Tales.
"I'll read stories and the kids will do coloring activities," she said. "The kids will decorate cookies and have hot chocolate."
Santa's arrival caps the fun-filled event for children as they get to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what they want for Christmas.
