Lake Keomah State Park gets a new office, workshop building

OSKALOOSA — There’s a building being built at Lake Keomah for the staff to use.

The current office buidling was built in 1934, and the new 5,500-square-foot structure next door will replace it.

“It’s our new shop and office,” Lake Keomah staffer Chad Malone said.

The building features office and a meeting area as well as machine storage areas, he said.

A TK Construction crew began construction in January and the building is scheduled to be complete by May 31. Malone said the staff will immediately occupy the new building.
