NEW SHARON —
An Outdoor Adventure Day for Adults will be held Saturday, June 29, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Russell Wildlife Area.
How does a day of fishing, canoeing, shooting archery and bowfishing sound?
The Mahaska County Conservation Board is providing adults ages 18 and older an opportunity to do all of this on Saturday, June 29, at the Russell Wildlife Area. Participants will learn the basics of these activities at this event and no experience is necessary for any of the activities. This event is free and pre-registration is required by calling MCCB at (641) 673-9327.
Participants are asked to bring a lunch, water bottle, sunscreen and a fishing license for the fishing activity. All equipment for the activities will be provided, however participants are welcome to bring their own.
The Russell Wildlife Area is located at 2254 200th Street, New Sharon. This is found five miles north of Oskaloosa on Hwy. 63 and one mile east on 200th Street.
