OSKALOOSA — At Monday's regular meeting of the Oskaloosa City Council, the council approved the site plan, with stipulations A to C, allowing the expansion and construction of approximately 47,700 square feet parking lot for Mahaska Health Partnership.
According to the agenda item explanation, Stipulation A says, “Extend the sidewalk on E Avenue East to ensure that sidewalk is provided on all public street frontage.” Stipulation B states, “The fence height cannot exceed 6' height and the material must meet the city standard. Lastly, Stipulation C notes that, “The specifications of the retaining wall on E Avenue East must meet the city standards.”
The agenda item explanation also notes that The Planning & Zoning Commission had considered this particular item at their June 10, 2013, meeting and that they had recommended in a 7 to 0 vote that the Oskaloosa City Council approve the site plan with these stipulations.
This agenda item garnered some discussion among the city council and also included input from MHP CEO Jay Christensen.
