OSKALOOSA — If you see a group of tractors driving around town Friday, it’s a group of local tractor enthusiasts paying a visit to local nursing homes.
Seniors in various nursing homes will get to see a great lineup of tractors. This is the fourth year for the event.
The plan is to for those interested in showing their tractors to leave the Southern Iowa Fairgrounds at 2 p.m.
They will leave the fairgrounds and travel to the Oskaloosa Care Center, Crystal Heights, Maple Ridge, White Oak Estates and The Northern Mahaska Nursing and Rehab Center.
Tractors Guide Club President Rick Flander, said there would be between 11 and 35 tractors that will be featured in the event.
“It seems that there are more and more seniors every year that come to watch. And their curiosity has increased over the years,” Flander said.
He added that every time the seniors witness the event, they want to come back next year to enjoy the festivities.
