Oskaloosa Middle School Eighth grade girl’s softball team hosted their first game at the Lacey Recreation Complex Thursday, June 6. With damp conditions this spring numerous games have been canceled or reschedule. The 5-plex at Lacey Recreation Complex is equipped with Shakopee Red Ball Diamond Aggregate and geared to drain effectively in a timely manner. The Indians took on the Pella Christian Eagles at 10 a.m. Pictured above, Indian pitcher, Josie Bunnell, fires in a strike as the Eagles look to steal third. Madrigal singers perform
The Oskaloosa High School Madrigal Singers perform for the Oskaloosa Rotary Club at the Peppertree at noon Tuesday. The Madrigal Singers will perform for the annual Madrigal Dinner on Dec. 13, 14 and 15 at the Musco Technology Center at William Penn University. Director Chris Weinreich said the Saturday, Dec. 14, performance is sold out; however, tickets for the other two nights are available. People can purchase tickets at Brown's Shoe Fit, on the city square. Tickets are $15, he said.
