---- — OSKALOOSA — Hordes of participants and spectators joined in the 4th annual bowling tournament hosted by MCRF this past Friday night.
Tons of fun and lots of high spirits filled the night. There were also friendly “bidding wars” going on in a silent auction held throughout the event.
Donations for the auction brought in near $1,500 as the total fundraiser took in over $5,400.
Donated items came from WalMart, 804 Décor, Mahaska Drug, Mahaska Bottling, Mahaska Health Partnership, The Hair Designers Salon & Spa, Signature Salon, Studio 404 Tan Salon & Spa, Pizza Hut , Breadeaux Pizza, True Value, The Creamery 7 Co., Fridley Theatres, Adventureland, The Iowa Children’s Museum, SkyZone Indoor Trampoline Park, Fareway, The Peppertree, Brown’s Shoe Fit, YMCA, Oskaloosa News, Kelderman Hobby Shack , Smokey Row, Quality Car Wash and Hy-Vee.
Lane Sponsorships included Bate’s Funeral Chapel, Shinn Brokerage, Inc., Clow Valve, Garland Van Arkel Langkamp Funeral Chapel, Gatton Realty, HyVee, Osky Foods, MidWestOne, Robert Auld Investments, Oskaloosa Vision Center, Edward Jones - Austin Norris, Kelderman.
The profits from the fund-raiser will go to the 2014 Lacey Recreation Complex projects.
Net profit from the event is just under $5,000. Mahaska Bottling Team won the coveted traveling trophy and will once more have their name engraved from Swim’s.
