Published August 19, 2008 11:06 am - Hawgstock Motorcycle Rally returns to Winterset The fourth annual Hawgstock Motorcycle Rally returns to Winterset the weekend of Aug. 21-24.
Motorcycle riders from all walks of life, from the Des Moines area, and all across the country are welcome and encouraged to attend this annual event. After all, who would want to miss out on live bands and all of the other antics and personalities that only Hawgstock has to offer? Heralded by a Las Vegas theme, the weekend promises to be full of adult fun and events, such as adult contests on the “Shower Stage,” a bike rodeo, bike show, live bands, food and merchandise vendors, and a charity “Poke Her” run. In the spirit of Vegas, specifically Caesar’s Palace, a best toga contest is scheduled for Saturday evening, and a pirate will give away t-shirts from the stage invoking Vegas’s Treasure Island. All attendees must be 21 years of age with a valid photo ID.
