Capt. Mark Neff tagged to be temp fire chief

— The Oskaloosa city manager has appointed the temporary fire chief to replace Frank Glandon, who retired on July 1.
“I’m recommending to council on Monday night that Mark Neff be appointed as acting temporary fire chief,” City Manager Brian James said.
Pending approval of the City Council at the July 7 meeting, Neff will be the fire chief until a new chief is hired.
James said he is still trying to find information on written tests for fire chief. The written test and the search for Oskaloosa’s next fire chief will be discussed at the July 14 Civil Service Commission meeting.
