Published February 05, 2010 09:23 am - Oskaloosa man charged with seven counts of burglary The Oskaloosa Herald OSKALOOSA — According to an Oskaloosa Police Department report, Jeffrey Wayne Bowen, 45, 214 N. Market St., Apt. No. 306, was charged with seven counts of third-degree burglary Thursday.
At approximately 12:20 a.m. Thursday, Oskaloosa Police arrested Bowen in the 200 block of A Avenue West, charging him with the first two counts of third-degree burglary, class “D” felonies. These charges came as the result of an ongoing investigation into burglaries, which were reported at Modern Floor Covering and Sears in the 200 block of Highway 432 in Oskaloosa. These burglaries were reported to Oskaloosa Police Tuesday. Later on Thursday, Oskaloosa Police executed a search warrant at Bowen’s residence. During the search, officer seized numerous items of evidence linking Bowen to the above burglaries. Officers also located and seized items of evidence, stolen property and cash, which were tied to five other burglaries in Oskaloosa reported in the past three months. The victims of these burglaries were Edward Jones Investments, 217 First Ave. E., Jeff Smith Law Office, 219 First Ave. E., Birth-Right of Oskaloosa, 117 N. First St., and Robert Auld Investments, 124 A Ave. E. As a result of this search warrant, Bowen was charged with five additional counts of third-degree burglary. The investigation into the above-mentioned burglaries is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
