OSKALOOSA — It was a fairly close vote in this past week’s Question of the Week: Should NASA continue manned space exploration?

Thirty-nine — 48 percent — answered YES, IT’S IMPORTANT TO SCIENCE while 34 — 42 percent — replied NO, IT’S A WASTE OF MONEY and eight — 10 percent said I DON’T CARE.

The Question of the Week poll is not scientific and only reflects the opinions of those Internet users who have chosen to participate. The Question of the Week is just another way the Herald’s readers can voice their opinions about issues that affect them.

This week’s Question of the Week deals with the NFL lockout.

The NFL lockout has dragged on for more than four months, and talks to end the stalemate between owners and players will resume today. A court-appointed mediator will referee the discussion.

Matters still under debate include issues such as reestablishing the union and how to settling the antitrust suit brought by nine big-name NFL players remain.

Will the owners and players come to an agreement before it’s too late?
