Question of the Week

Question of the Week: Are you ready for school to start?

OSKALOOSA — There was a landslide in this past week’s Question of the Week: Is there something wrong with our politics?

Ninety-nine — 93 percent — answered YES while four — 4 percent — replied NO and three — 3 percent — said I DON’T CARE.

The Question of the Week poll is not scientific and only reflects the opinions of those Internet users who have chosen to participate. The Question of the Week is just another way the Herald’s readers can voice their opinions about issues that affect them.

This week’s Question of the Week deals with the start of the new school year.

This week, the new school year begins in Oskaloosa. The first day of school for the Oskaloosa Community School District will be Monday and William Penn University starts the fall semester on Tuesday.

After a summer of fun, both students and parents have to get back into the school-day routine. Students can look forward to seeing friends they may not have seen over the summer. Parents may get a breather from looking after their children during the week.

Although this time of year is hectic, is it a happy time for all?

What do you think?

This week’s Question of the Week: Are you ready for school to start?

People can vote on The Herald’s Web site, oskaloosa.com, from Monday through noon on Friday. Then, votes will be tallied and published the following Monday.
