Centerville man charged with threatening to blow up hospital

CENTERVILLE — A Centerville man has received a Class "C" Felony charge for making a terrorist threat after allegedly threatening to blow up the Putnam County Rural Health Clinic in Unionville, Mo.

Scott Wells, 42, of Centerville, is currently being held in the Appanoose County Jail after he was arrested on a warrant from Putnam County.

According to the probable cause statement from Unionville Police Chief Tim Corwin, a person from the hospital accused Scott of saying "I am going to blow that f-----g place up."

The report states that "Scott has called the hospital in the past acting aggressive needing medication."

Wells is being held on a $25,000 cash bond in the Appanoose County Jail after waiving extradition.

Court records do not list an attorney for Wells.
