Guilty verdict in Fairfield killing

FAIRFIELD — A Fairfield man has been found guilty of second-degree murder.

Tyler James Webster, 33, of Fairfield, was originally charged with first-degree murder in the death of Buddy Lee Frisbie, 32. On Aug. 25, deputies responded to a reported shooting in the 2400 block of Marigold Blvd., a rural area of Jefferson County south of Fairfield.

Deputies found Frisbie with multiple gunshot wounds. He was dead on arrival.

In court last week, Webster was found guilty of second-degree murder, a Class B felony, which can carry a prison sentence of up to 50 years. He will be sentenced on May 28.
