Centerville woman sentenced to prison

A Centerville woman was sentenced to state prison on a reduced charge in an illegal drug case.

Alisha Rose White, 31, was sentenced to five years in prison by Judge Daniel P. Wilson on the charge of possession of pseudoephedrine, a D felony. White entered a negotiated voluntary guilty plea to the reduced charge.

White originally was charged with a controlled substance violation, meth and first degree arson, both B felonies. Those two charges were not adjudicated.

White owes $460.77 for this case.

Centerville police filed a complaint and affidavit on Dec. 31, 2012 that states White on Dec. 18, 2012 at approximately 10:11 p.m. called 911 to report smoke in her residence at 1212 E. Cross St.

The Centerville Fire Department responded to the report of smoke at the residence. While the fire department was at the scene, personnel observed drug paraphernalia in the house while extinguishing the fire.

After a search warrant was obtained, law enforcement officials discovered items, some known to be used to make meth, including empty cans of starting fluid, tree fertilizer, aluminum foil, coffee filters, empty cold compress packaging, lithium batteries, pseudoephedrine blister packages and glass jars containing unknown liquids.

The complaint states White and David Lee Mullin Jr. were both residing at the Cross Street residence at the time of the fire.

The National Precursor Log Exchange showed White had purchased pseudoephedrine on Dec. 17 and Dec. 18, 2012 from pharmacies in Centerville and Mullin Jr. had purchased pseudoephedrine on Dec. 13, 2012.
