Burglary suspect Todd facing multiple charges

KNOXVILLE — The execution of search warrants late last week led to the discovery of several items that had been reported stolen, and the arrest of a 27-year-old suspect from Knoxville.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office, Knoxville Police Department and the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on Dec. 21 at 1006 North Harlan in Knoxville, the home of Dustin Blake Todd, age 27.

During this search, law enforcement officers recovered multiple items that had been reported stolen from local homes and businesses in recent months. Items include five firearms, narcotics and clothing. A subsequent interview with the suspect provided officers with more information in regard to the location of other stolen materials. The Sheriff's Office and Iowa State Patrol searched two other unidentified homes in Knoxville, where nine more firearms were seized. Two compound bows were also found in a field north of Knoxville.

Then, in the early morning hours of Sunday, Dec. 22, a search warrant for 31373 570th Street, Chariton, was executed.  At that time, the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol, seized over 50 firearms, marijuana and a large quantity of prescription medications.  Michael Jay Fisher, 44 of Chariton was charged in Lucas County with Delivery of a Controlled Substance, as well as Ongoing Criminal Conduct.

Fisher's charges were filed in Lucas County. The Journal-Express has not yet researched the charges against Fisher any further.

As for Todd, there is also a warrant out for his arrest in the State of Michigan. Sheriff Jason Sandholdt, at the time of our interview, was unsure of the charge Todd is facing in that state.

In Marion County, at least 11 criminal complaints have been filed against Todd. They are as follows:
